Financial Analyst

About the Role

APIS Services, Inc. is looking for a person who can assist in financial analysis, financial planning and reporting and business intelligence projects. These are simply analytical people who enjoy recalling information that aids decision-making, like to improve processes, and are often data-driven.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports based on data collected and tested.
• Review information regarding finances, budget, financial trends, and financial results.
• Do variance analysis and give recommendations based on the analysis.
• Make and share dashboards, reporting, and templates.
• Automate submission of reports. Make manual reporting a bit more efficient and accurate.
• Track and understand the quality of this data and understand the differences between systems.
• Help with the reconciliation of records/controls
• Look for ways to improve report, process, and data efficiency.
• Perform and present financial and operational analysis to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Possesses an advanced (Advanced) proficiency level in a Bachelor’s degree in Finance,
• Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field.
• 2+ years of experience in FP&A / financial analysis and accounting/reporting.
• Modelling skills, including pivot tables at an advanced level in Microsoft Excel.
• Interpersonal and oral communication skills – written and expressed are acceptable;
• Analytical skills – problem-solving skills are good.
• Acquire some skills in processing big data and different systems.
• Self-directed & collaborative working skills.

Preferred Skills

Knowing business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, financial forecasting, dashboards, automated reporting, ERP, accounting or financial BI systems is a plus.
